DESCRIPTION

Grab your friends and take on the Southern California's Original Women's Trail Half Marathon & 5K! Whether this is your first half marathon or you're a trail running veteran, the SoCal Wine Country Half Marathon will challenge you over a beautiful course.

All event participants will receive a race t-shirt, a unique custom finisher's medal and a glass of wine (if you are 21 and up)!

You will enjoy sweeping view of the Vail Resort's private trails, hill side vineyards, the surrounding foothills, and Vail Lake. The Resort itself offers 25 miles of private trails, swimming pool, and mini golf for those that choose to make the fun last and camp with us before and after the race.

Each participant is invited to join us for the welcoming back of the after party. Where we will be serving glasses of wine to those that are old enough to partake as well as live music in the Vail Resort Lounge area.

There will be an opportunity to camp with us the night before and after the race at the Vail Resort camping loops, please check back for more information. You are able to add the additional fee onto your Runsignup registration.

PLACE

Vail Resort - KOA Temecula  38000 Hwy 79 South Temecula, CA 92592

PACKET PICKUP

There will be a number of opportunities to pick up your race packet throughout the week leading up to the race. Please check back here or Runsignup for the dates, times, and locations as race week approaches. If you are unable to pick up your packet at those locations before Thursday evening, there will be availability to pick up your packet on race day at the start line.

*If you pick up your packet prior to race day, you must still check in at the starting table to ensure that we know that you are on the course that day.

PARKING - RACE DAY

We are going to be encouraging carpooling at this event as we do for all Elevation Culture Race Series events. If you carpool with someone, you will be placed in a raffle for prizes such as medal hangers, custom artwork, and etc. Below is a picture of where we have parking on the day of the event. There will be staff out there from the KOA helping us to direct parking in this area. Please DON'T park at the trailheads that are near the start finish, as these are for day users of the grounds, and we want to make sure they don't feel like we are sharing the facility as well as the trails. Elevation Culture is not responsible for any tickets, tows, fees, or damages that occur from parking in these areas.

AID STATIONS

It will be hot on race day and the course is very exposed for both distances. We would suggest that you carry a minimum of a 20oz hand bottle. We don't want you to risk dehydration on race day by not carrying something with you.

Full Aid Station will be supplied with typical accoutrement for this level of race: GU, Blocks, soda, some salty, sweet, and chewy snacks. We will of course have water and some electrolyte replenishment. If you have dietary or allergy restrictions please make sure that you are prepared with your own snacks as needed.

CUPLESS - We are a cupless event, that means that there will be no cups at the aid stations, or at the start/finish. Please make sure that you bring your own vessel to accept water, soda, and other liquids.
